ENCOURAGING ACTIVE
CREATIVE LIFESTYLES…

In 12 short months the Rotary Club of Wangaratta’s Book Fair has grown from raising $15,000 for community projects to raising an estimated $30,000 + for 2018.

Our hardworking committee and volunteers have more than doubled our stock of good quality children’s books, unique special interest books, fiction and non fiction books. Additionally through our Five Year Strategic Business Plan we have established the new Wang Lit Fest which has extended the Wangaratta Rotary Book Fair to now include:

  • A Young Writers Award
  • ‘Once upon a story’ workshops from local arts specialist Jacquie Coupe
  • The GANEAA EncyclopediART Exhibition
  • The CWA Retro Café
  • A Visiting Writers Program which includes Writing Workshops, Author Talks and Panel Discussions

We have secured free long term under cover book storage thanks to the generosity of the Wangaratta Woolen Mills with access to materials handling equipment from our many ‘Friends of Rotary’.

Our ambitious project still focuses on the key message from the Community…to the Community.

  • Entry and Festival Bag $2.00
  • No books over $5.00 plus all you can fit in your Rotary bag for $50.00
